    It's actually the opposite.

What a completely non-primitive, and forward thinking thing to say.
Thank you for being a voice of reason in an intellectually bankrupt thread.

Fiddy, give me ONE reason why she shouldn't be allowed to wear a hijab. Just one. All I ask.

Thank you based Balkanites and Eastern Euros.

Eastern Europe is on the way up and Western Europe is getting fucked. The tides of power are turning.
Haha... Ottomans could of made entire Balkans extinct if they wanted to... they held South/East Europe in fetal position for as long as they wanted...

Ottomans this Ottomans that booohoo, reality is the conquests at that primitive time was completely normal all around the world.... Ottomans just so happened to be one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful, no need to hate.... did not have anything to do with ***ing religion, more to do with nations/ethnicities (or groups/clans/tribes/races/whatever).

Balkans for example had always internal problems (with their slavic & other neighbours) since eternity way before/longer & after Ottomans.... ask Fiddy about his Bulgaria during that time, for example during the Ottoman time Bulgaria under Tsar Ivan Aleksandur was in decline, to consolidate his authority over as much territory as possible he divided the state into three appanages held by his sons and they beat the crap out of eachother for power... In addition to internal problems, Bulgaria was further crippled by Hungarian attacks before & after (No, they were not muslims)... yet somebody like Fiddy has nothing bad to say about Hungarians... funny... "kill me/take over my country ONLY if you have my religion! all cool!"

You almost make it seem like its all cool when christians in Europe made some conquests, perfectly normal... not muslims, oh mi oh my.... and that was only once some time like 700 years ago... Slovenians, Croats, Serbs, Bosnians, Montenegrins, Macedonians, Albanians, Bulgarians, Hungarians, Romanians ALL went to war against eachother.... long before any muslim set foot there, for much longer, even today/recently.... just look at today, just some 20-30 years ago... did those evil muslims/ottomans have anything to do with those conquest attempts in fr. Yugoslavia? Serbs/Croats murdering Croats/Serbs? Had something to do with religion huh? Did muslims genocide Bosnians?

lol, the Ottomans would've been crushed if the British and French didn't have an active interest in using them to limit Russian power.

    "the most powerful.."

to limit Habsburgian power, Russia was a non relevant eastern european power prior to 1700.

In fact the french shamelesly occupied big barts of the Holy Roman Empire while the majority of the german armies were busy fighting against the Ottomans in Vienna 1681.

If there was an East/West European split, then it was the Catholic/Orthodox divide. The Greco-Roman infused Christian heritage of Europe was by no means limited to France, England, Spain and Sweden, dumbass. Bohemia, Prussia, Poland, Hungary (and more)--these were key players and important contributors to European history and culture. Go learn some history.
so your line >>> his line.

at least you had the balls to slam him in the beginning of your post for doing the exact thing you did in your second paragraph.

Eastern European nations are weak, and if Russia cuts off their resources, totally f*cked.

Bordering on prosperous nations yet unable to get their shit together, even after inclusion to the EU.

Don't you right wing blowhards frown on countries and people who cannot pull themselves up by the bootstraps despite all the opportunities.

And the f*ckin Balkans??? LOL, bunch of savages (in the bad way) weren't they just committing genocide 20 years ago? Pathetic.

Seriously, what the f*ck are you blabbering on about here? This post is entirely incoherent and doesn't address anything I said in my own (I did not even mention the Balkans, knowing little about them).

Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, etc are not "weak" and they are a part of Central Europe, and played a large role in a shared and common European history. They only started being called "Eastern Europe" as distinguishing from more advanced "Western Europe" after they were abandoned to Stalin. So f*ck you with your "all the opportunities" bullshit: these are some of the most oppressed people in the world in recent history (far, far more oppressed than American blacks in the 20th century btw).

Is Milan Kundera a "right wing blowhard" too? Read this and learn something you narrow-minded imbecile:

    http://www.bisla.sk/english/wp-conte...ral_Europe.pdf

In November 1956, the director of the Hungarian News Agency, shortly before his office was flattened by artillery fire, sent a telex to the entire world with a desperate message announcing that the Russian attack against Budapest had begun. The dispatch ended with these words: "We are going to die for Hungary and for Europe."

What did this sentence mean? It certainly meant that the Russian tanks were endangering Hungary and with it Europe itself. But in what sense was Europe in danger? Were the Russian tanks about to push past the Hungarian borders and into the West? No. The director of the Hungarian News Agency meant that the Russians, in attacking Hungary, were attacking Europe itself. He was ready to die so that Hungary might remain Hungary and European.

In fact, what does Europe mean to a Hungarian, a Czech, a Pole? For a thousand years their nations have belonged to the part of Europe rooted in Roman Christianity. They have participated in every period of its history. For them, the word "Europe" does not represent a phenomenon of geography but a spiritual notion synonymous with the word "West." The moment Hungary is no longer European—that is, no longer Western—it is driven from its own destiny, beyond its own history: it loses the essence of its identity.

"Geographic Europe" (extending from the Atlantic to the Ural Mountains) was always divided into two halves which evolved separately: one tied to ancient Rome and the Catholic Church, the other anchored in Byzantium and the Orthodox Church. After 1945, the border between the two Europes shifted several hundred kilometers to the west, and several nations that had always considered themselves to be Western woke up to discover that they were now in the East.[1] As a result, three fundamental situations developed in Europe after the war: that of Western Europe, that of Eastern Europe, and, most complicated, that of the part of Europe situated geographically in the center—culturally in the West and politically in the East.
Why do you speak on topics you evidently know nothing about? Why do you incessantly pathologise opinions you are too ignorant or stupid to understand?
