if he signs an extension past this season then he lied... only just now does he realize hes not averaging over 19ppg anymore

last year he was at 22.3ppg.. so even coming into this season he was under the impression that he could do it

He knew his athleticism was fading in 2012, and he didnt have the skills or fundamentals to score at least 18-19 points as his career moves on.

He seems like a smart individual. He called it before any one of us did.


I applaud Kobe for recognizing the limitations in his game.

So much fail in that statement. I guess it was always about stats and (try to) being "the man" for Kobe, not about playing as a high scoring role player for a hypothetical contending Lakers, which they could have been if he didn't chase D12 out of town.

Since 2010 Kobe has been a tragedy to the Lakers.
