Depends on your definition of "athlete."

Thing is Wade is only 3 years younger Kobe and has been much more injury prone/has less threshold for pain. Who knows how much longer his prime "athletic" years really are.

I think they are very comparable with d wade obviously being the smaller quicker player and kobe while not that far behind when he was in his athletic prime (02-03) season. Its almost a toss up to which one is the better athlete. what do you guys think?

I do realize that D wade is in the middle of his right now and has battled major injuries.

It is a bit underrated on this board, during his prime i can say only vince and t mac were above him but they still lacked his body control and footwork. its still pretty close either way though with d wade being quicker off the dribble and kobe being the better jumper.
