People made such a big deal about the Redeem team is the only other USA Basketball team that can give the Dream Team some challenge. WRONG. The 1996 team is the 2nd best USA Basketball team ever. They got size and they got shooters. They can beat the 1992 team.

I think the 96 team has a real shot. u lose mj, but gain hakeem, shaq, penny, reggie and grant hill.. plus payton to guard MJ. SCARY

plus you had barkley, malone and pippen on the wing as finishers. barkley could take it coast to coast in like five dribbles. let's not forget how well a young robinson ran the floor as well...guy ran like a gazelle

The '94 World Championship Team and Dream Team 2 ('96 for me was the real Dream Team 2) were awesome teams too. 96 in particular was a scary ass team. U had a lot of guys from the first Dream Team combined with great young talent like Shaq, Penny, and G Hill. Awesome, awesome team.

I don't understand this BS that keeps going around that Magic Johnson was way past his prime in 1992. He was MVP in 1990 and second to Jordan for MVP in 1991. He was only 32. He came back in 1996 fat and out of shape and put up 19/10/8 with 2 steals in his first game back. Come on son.

I just love how everybody jumps to conclusions and goes to absurd legnths to defend the 92 Dream Team.

Remember that Laker team that had 4 of the greatest players of their era that got beat by a band of Piston no-namers?

Let's not assume that because the players on the 92 team were greater individuals gives the team a free pass over any team of all time.
