Getting KTFO V.S. Getting Bones Broken
It's inevitable, Would you rather get KTFO by a boxer or get your bones broken by a jiu-jitsu fighter? Choose 1.
I'll give my answer later.

A thread of guys that have never been knocked out. I'm missing 6 months of memories from when I was 17, and was off sport for a YEAR.
I'd take a broken bone. You're out for 6-8 weeks and can start training again. If it's a ligament, or meniscus that make it much harder

1 KO isnt going to change your life that much.
its the repeated KOs that mess you up.
Also a broken bone can be better than hurting the joints.
Eg. having problems with your knee joint can be a bitch and severally reduce your quality of life.
For me it goes
KO>broken bone> damage to an important joint.

A 15 year old gang member that was massive. He hit me in the back of the head and said "West Side Mother F*cker" I turned around ,and he hit me in the temple, and I went down, hitting my head on the curb.
The kid was MASSIVE Samoan.

Not true. I know of people that have been killed from one punch, or been knocked into a coma. Affected speech, walking and everything. A concussion can be as severe as a stroke

I'll be giving my answer now...
As a full time professional fighter believe it or not, I don't care. You probably have watched me in TV. I'm not giving full info since I need privacy. I've been KOed in sparring twice when I was starting in 1999, flush, about 5 second black out, luckily not in fights. Haven't been KOed since then, Knock downs yes. It doesn't hurt that much, a minor headache afterwards. Brain damage comes from multiple hits in the head, not just 1 KO punch. I tell you, getting bones broken is the worst. 10x more painful than getting punched / kicked. And it takes months to heal.
So I prefer getting KTFO.

Re: Getting KTFO V.S. Getting Bones Broken
bones, obviously.
a hard knockout causes permanent brain damage. it may not show up right away, but it will impact your mental health in time, and also predispose you to escalating brain damage with additional head rattlings.
as d-fens said, even hitting you head medium-hard, not even a KTFO, can cause damage and internal bleeding.
natasha richardson, a fairly well-known celeb, died from just that a couple years ago. she took a small tumble while pretty much standing around on skis and got right back up, but the bleeding had started in her brain case. a few hours later she was dead.
