i've always thought of Korver as a good defender for a 3pt specialist. thats why he's a consistent role player while Kapono and Novak isnt

This is kinda true. He seems to fit into the "white guy who can shoot and do nothing else" mold in most people's minds.

The Heat beat the Bulls in 2011 by switching Korver on to LeBron or Wade and putting him through a PnR.

Its tougher to hide defenders now that it used to be. The list of gifted offensive players that couldn't cut it in the league is a long one.

He is somewhat improved. Still a liability.

i've seen it on this board a few times, but mostly by trolls. anybody who watched him in chicago knows he's at worst average on that end. average laterally, average strength, good length, good iq. but what puts him in the above average category is that he works his ass, and that's just all thibbs

It didnt decide it for Kirk Hinrich, AK47, Bobby Jones, Chris Dudley, Dan Majerle, John Stockton, and plenty of others.

Korver like many...got a bad reputation early as a shooter with nothing else to offer...but hes played reasonable defense for some time now.

Id say hes the second most underrated "Hes just a shooter" white guy after Peja. Peja could play man to man defense...when he wanted to.
