fvvvvvck.... I hope this doesn't mean he's coming back to broadcasting.
That was the best part about him coaching, not having to hear his corny a$$.
Not surprised he got fired though... with his offensive talent he should have been getting more out of his team.

In fairness, Jackson had no coaching experience either. Still, that team really took on his personality and made some noise. Maybe that's the problem. Sounds like impatient ownership meddling, but that's life in the NBA.
If the Celtics didn't have Stevens, I'd want Jackson coaching us.

Lakers fans rejoice? Talk about keeping the rivalry with the Clippers going.

It makes zero sense...
They finally got a guy who coaches defense and they want to fire him...

The team underachieved for its talent level. Also, he takes the religious nonsense too far. Not only is it divisive when you have a guy like Bogut (atheist) in the locker room, but also, instead of preparing his players for Game 2, he worked on his Easter Sermon:

Re: Mark Jackson on the verge of being fired
They had some injuries for sure but I think they've underachieved. Their half court offense is not good and just ends up being a bunch of ISOball bs. Harrison Barnes has gone backwards and I just don't see how people think he's done a great job. He hasn't been awful by any stretch but their team is really good on paper but they had some rough stretches this year for sure. He's also had locker room problems with two assistant coaches and clashes with the FO. I'm not saying they should let him go but I don't think that it's out of the question to let him go. If they do decide to go that route they had better have someone good in mind.

You can actually tell by listening to their broadcasting that Kerr is intelligent with regards to basketball analysis, and Jackson is not.
Just because Jackson had good instincts as a player on the court, does not mean he automatically has a high coaching/analytical IQ, because he clearly doesn't.

I think that losing Malone really hurt Jackson.

I feel your pain man, and dread the same thing myself. But Im not too worried. Even tho Lacob is obviously pretty smart, there are plenty of idiot teams out there who will try to snap this guy up because he won 51 games with a talented team, and not actually examine what he DOES as a coach. Its the equivalent of measuring a player by "rings." Some team will make this idiotic mistake.

It's official. He's been fired. Trash organization. After the great relationship with the players they release him. Curry preached for his job. I hope he comes to the Knicks.
I wonder how the players will respond.

Actually I thought he was talking about Phil Jackson. When I realized he meant Mark, I deleted the post.
