Default Would OKC have made the playoffs if Westbrook had a 40 inch vertical?

It seems to be one of those things where someone gets so close but they are just missing that little bit extra. Maybe a few more iq points would have helped too.

If Westbrook had a better mid range pull up he would have been unstoppable and OKC would gave easily made the playoffs

its relative, he is lacking the iq therefore he needs at least a 40 inch vert to be able to assert his dominance over other teams at a greater clip, however considering his verts only 36.5 inches (lmao) he has trouble doing that consistently. If he had a normal iq then that amount of athleticism would be fine, but considering hes severely lacking that department its not so rosey.

WB did everything he could, it's not his fault. If he had better teammates or injury free ones, he would be in the playoffs.

    40 inch vertical? No playoffs.

50 inch vertical. Top 3 seed.

He'd be like Spiderman on the court.

No. even if he had more than that, OKC still would not make the playoffs without Durant.

Westbrook needs a higher IQ, not a higher vert.

A better vertical helps Westbrook, just like it helped MJ, who had a documented 48-inch vertical:

Here's an article by Tim Grover where he documented Jordan's vertical at his sports academy... http://www.si.com/edge/2014/10/16/ti...nt-isnt-enough

Here is a study done by researchers at UNC on Jordan's vertical... http://www.jospt.org/doi/pdf/10.2519/jospt.1999.29.1.A1

Here are photos of Jordan with his head over the rim (MJ was 6'6", so when his head is at 10 feet/rim level, that's a 44 inch vertical):

If Westbrook needs more athleticism, then 95% of the NBA does too...
