Default The league/David Stern went out of their way to keep Kobe from #6, 7, etc...

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/73...ous-proportion

In delivering his stunning verdict, in declaring Chris Paul's trade to the Los Angeles Lakers dead before arrival, David Stern never looked so small or weak. He made a parody of parity, and the joke ended up being on him.

LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony were the NBA's power brokers the past two years, and their employers wanted to regain control of the league before Paul and Dwight Howard and Deron Williams could manipulate it the way James and Anthony did.

What an outrageous abuse of power. What an ungodly mess Stern and the owners have made.

The league intentionally blocked Kobe from continuing to succeed. Kobe has at least 6 rings, IMO, had the commissioner/Bran not blocked this trade out of fear. Bran was allowed to collude two separate times in his prime, teaming up with four superstars in their primes.

Think about how good Kobe is...the league had to conspire against him to have a chance.

Kobe is the polar opposite of lebron

    Kobe Wins in the Finals
    LeBron Loses in the Finals

Kobe is respected among is peers
LeBron is disrespected among his peers (Delonte West)

    Kobe is Alpha
    LeBron is Beta

Lebron has a thicker upper body
Kobe has a thicker lower body

    LeBron colludes against the league
    The league colludes against Kobe

Bran colludes with two all stars and the league televises it, gives his former team a bunch of high picks to set him up with a nice return once the Heat got old.

Kobe gets just one all star and Stern steps in to veto the trade and keep things fair for the rest of the league

Not like the Pelicans got some great deal because of Stern either. Turns out Pau Gasol wouldn't have been much worse than Eric Gordon.

Gasol is way better than Gordon.

The veto was all about sticking it to Kobe out of fear and jealousy.

Anyone who's not an idiot knows Kobe is really 4/6.

That Sacramento series is fucking disgusting, an offence to the game basketball, the players and fans. It's no surprise the league did it.... after MJ left, the ratings dropped like a rock, so it's no surprises the league scrambled to get their sponsors back and get the money rolling. It's not about integrity, it's about money. That's why Stern was always grinning when anyone confronted him about fraud.

    That was an absolute joke.

Bran is allowed to collude with multiple superstars twice while being in his prime but that ****** Stern declining a Chris Paul trade to LA.

    RIGGED Shit

And Kobe still manages a 5/7 finals record while Bran is going on 2/7.

Funny how those former infographics at what X player had done at X age including Bran have stopped showing up as much with him losing in the last 2 finals, they were everywhere when he won 2 with Wade and Pat Riley

So... Chris Paul + Grandpa Kobe = contender?
    I disagree.
Laker's were destined to end up where they are now regardless if that trade was allowed or not.
In the long run they were probably better off that it didn't.

Stern didn't veto anything. The league owned the Hornets and the GM had no power to make that trade without ownership approval....just like with all teams
