Re: 2013-2014 Observation Deck
Man, time to update everyone on the amazing Matadors and Thues' job here, before our game at the prestigious Stephen F Austin Lumberjackss, who are 10-2 (only losses @ Texas & East Tennesse State) later on tonight.
Beat Texas A&M Corpus-Christie by one, on the road, behind a dynamic duo performance by Stephen Hicks and Josh Greene, combining for 36 points on 11-20 from the field, 3-5 from three, 11-12 from the line, 9 b oards, 3 dimes, 5 steals and only 2 turnovers.
Idaho got wiped out 79-69, led by Hicks again with 20/9 on 5-10 shooting. Stephen Maxwell balled as well, with 15/11 on 6-9. Tre Hale-Edmerson (THE) went for 9/13/5 and 3 blocks. Not shabby from the starting five.
Morgan State was a fun finish as well, 86-80 for the win. Maxwell had 28/12 on 11-16 from the field, Hicks had 10/11 on 3-8. THE had 4/6/4 but 6 blocks. Greene exploded for 28/5/4 with 3 steals on 8-10 from the field, 5-6 from three, and 7-8 from the line.

What a joke.
It's a joke that the game was even scheduled.
That school is not even in the NCAA and does not have a player over 6'4. Why the fuck are they even playing each other?

What a joke.
I live in Arkansas and have lived here my whole life. It's one of those states that's small enough that, if you live here long enough, you not only learn the names of even most of the really tiny towns, but you definitely hear of all the rinky dink bullshit colleges. I've heard of all the other liberal arts/private schools (which Champion Baptist is) like Lyon College, Hendrix, Harding, and Philander Smith. But I can honestly say tonight is the first time I've ever heard of Champion Baptist College even though it's in Hot Springs, AR. I've been to Hot Springs numerous times for various things and I've still never heard of it until tonight.

SDSU vs. KU should be a good one, the last of their big non-conference games

Re: 2013-2014 Observation Deck
SDSU looked impressive. Haven't seen them until this game, but it looks like their only loss was against the currently #1 ranked Arizona team. 3 wins against ranked teams, and winning at AFH is about as good as it gets.
Fisher is a heck of a coach.
Colorado has Oregon on the ropes. Officially worried about the Wake game. UNC doesn't normally play too well at Joel and it seems like all the ranked teams are getting tested this weekend.

except for a game or two they play horrific basketball.. basically playing on talent alone can get ugly quick if the other team has a smart coach and some decent players..
might as well just wait for march madness because there is no point on wasting time on these games

Ohio State vs. MSU right now for anyone interested in a good game. Right now a GREAT game.
