Let's say if a certain player is at least solid at every aspect of the game, while not great at any... I think he'd be more than valuable enough.

Closest one to that I can think of is probably Darrell Walker (apart from shot-blocking but he was a guard and not even bad at it; and apart from long-range shooting).

Wasn't Darrell Walker a great rebounder for a guard? And he averaged good assist numbers.

However the trajectory of his career statistics tend to make me suspect he was a stat padder. Dont know if this was true

Yea, clearly great for a guard but not overall great, call it.

He was definitely a good passer/playmaker but I won't go any higher than that.

You can argue he was a great ball-thief at some point though, even if certainly not a great overall defensive player.

But like I've said, he's probably the closest one - to the example I gave - I can think of.

This is the most perfectly average player I can think of....

    Starting SF

    11 PPG
    5 RPG
    3 APG
    1 SPG
    0.6 BPG
    .450/.336/.750 shooting.

I feel like that is marvin Williams.

Marvin Williams seems slightly below average to me. How about Tyreke Evans? Does abit of everything albeit not too well and inconsistent.

Also I remember someone did an even more lengthy calculation a few years ago but I can't remember who it was. All I remember is he was 6-7. It might've been Gordan Giricek.

Too bad I cannot find "per 48 min" stats on the other statistical categories.
using this method (approximately), your nba all average starting five is

    Deron Williams
    Marco Belinelli
    Luol Deng
    Marcus Morris
    Roy Hibbert

    alternatively

    Zach Lavine
    Aaron Afflalo
    Joe Johnson
    Mason Plumlee
    Marcin Gortat

Chandler Parsons is the definition of mediocrity. He is average defender, scorer, shooter, passer, rebounder etc.pp Only thing he has is "above average" size for his position, but his size is pretty much useless because he is a bit slower than average.
