Yup. That's pretty much the reason. Many things the NBA prohibits is because it's too black or non white. To me, a protective mask is a protective mask, doesn't matter what color it is as long as it's doing what it's suppose to do. They want to appeal more to the people that NBA are making money of. Look at the race of the fans. Who's filling up the seats? Who is paying for the high price seats? Look at the t-shirt jerseys they are promoting, it's soccer jerseys.
