Default 2008-2010 Lakers are worse if we replace Kobe with Lebron-ball right?

Lebron-ball doesn't fit into triangle - there was no "point guard" in that offense so Lebron-ball doesn't fit.

So Phil either has to abandon the triangle and run the easily solvable Lebron-ball, or Lebron has to dial back his game to fit into the triangle's more optimal, equitable methodology.

LBJ living rent free inside his head. 2008-2010 LeBron with 2008-2010 Lakers. Look at the size and length. Artest and Ariza are good 3 points shooters. And Vujacic also had some decent games in the playoffs.

Cavs couldn't play TT & Mozgof together for long stretches because it fucced up Lebrons spacing..

how is he going to work with Pau & Odom and Bynum clogging the paint??

Odom had an outside shot, Pau had a respectable mid range....

    This.
There is a universe where Lebron >>>> Jordan. It can be found wherever 3ball writes a post, or starts a thread.

Well, we have to account for Lebron's standard PF stat reduction.

He cratered Love and Bosh's stats by 40%, so we have to assume the same for Gasol and Odom - so don't think of Gasol and Odom as great players anymore... Alongside Lebron, they're ordinary players.

Heck, Odom was already a shaky dude who was "on" one night, "off" the next - if it wasn't for his deep respect for Kobe and Kobe's all-round scoring repertoire fitting so well with Lamar's game, Lamar's career would've been over much sooner.

Alongside Lebron, Lamar's game would be in permenent "off" mode.. People would be like "holy crap, i forgot lamar was on the team."

Yup, only when the PF is the 3rd option

Gasol will get his 21/11 as the 2nd option, and Odom can still get his 15,8

Not true, since Love & Bosh were the third options while Gasol was second

Lebeta needs shooters to bail his a$$ out. With him hogging the ball down to 4 secs each possession, wont have enough time to run the triangle efficiently. Besides Triangle offense requires players to have a good jumpshot, what was lebetas jumpshot % again this final? Lol...

Another note, Triangle offense works best when they double team ( Kobe is the double team magnet), but with lebron... Single coverage all day

    Lol, they actually threepeat.

Easily beat the Celtics in 08, sweeps the Magic in 09, and beats the Celtics in 5 in 2010.

Post that interview in 09 where Lebron said Kobe was better than him? I think it was 60 minutes.

    In short, close thread.

Gasol's stats would still go down, just like 25 ppg Kevin Love's did - Lebron turned Love INTO a 3rd option.

And Lamar's a third option... He was a nice 3rd option alongside Kobe too... Kobe's diverse, all-round scoring repertoire had the capacity to fit well with Lamar's game.

What made Lamar truly dangerous was the point-forward, PG, playmaking aspect aspect to his game.. When you saw him doing that, you knew it was curtains for the other team because Lamar was feeling it and in his comfort zone.. That would disappear alongside Lebron..

But alongside Kobe's more versatile scoring, Lamar didn't have to abandon his comfort zone.
