Re: Nets = NBA champions 2014
You weren't talking about the same Nets team that lost in the FIRST ROUND to the Chicago Bulls, SANS both Derek Rose and Luol Deng?
The same Nets team that got rid of their SF stopper? The East is full of great 3s, that is why Wallace was so valuable (James, George, Deng, Melo). And now the Nets will have to face all the good East teams that have great 3s and who will guard them? Paul AARPierce?
Yeah...

Isn't beating Harden in ANY category...Yep... Maybe better than Harden.
Ehhh I am speaking of a Joe Johnson that would play like it is his contract year, he got to comfortable with the max contract.
He actually put up 25/4/4 while also being a great defender, Harden is terrible defensively.

I agree and disagree. Their only issue isn't depth. Its health primarily. A bench composed of Shaun Livingston, Jason Terry, Reggie Evans and Andray Blatche is actually very decent. Its the health that will make or break the Nets. If they can stay completely healthy ( HUGE IF) then they can win an NBA championship. It will be fun watching though. Not to insult Heat nation but I hope Wade is not a full strength during the playoffs if you know what I mean.

With the right bench players they could contend.
KG and PP should not play more than 30 mpg.

Re: Nets = NBA champions 2014
Overrated team. Nice names at every position on paper, but so did the abomination that was the 2013 Lakers. In the end, the Nets are incredibly old and will suffer injuries like all old teams. Not to mention they are incredibly slow on the perimeter. LeBron and Wade will have a field day against those slugs. 2nd round and out I'd say.

The Nets two best players are under 30. The Lakers had a 38 year old point guard. Their best player was 35 and Dwight Howard was injured for the first half of the season and even when he returned he wasn't completely pain free. The Lakers were an abomination from the beginning. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are not going to be asked to carry any load on their shoulders like Nash and Kobe had to. Deron, Joe and Brook will do the heavy lifting and our new additions will just be asked to contribute in a limited capacity. UNLIKE the Lakers major players. Its silly how people think the Nets are asking 35 year old Pierce and 37 year old Garnett to carry us to wins. They will just be role players. HoF role players that will likely have career low in stats next year but not because they're completely done but because of the situation they are in.

They definitely won't. Even Brook Lopez didn't play more than 30 minutes a game last year. Deron and Joe will play around 37 minutes a game while Brook, Paul and Kevin will play approximately 28 minutes a game.
