Rebounding: Charles Barkley vs. Dennis Rodman
Taking all into account, who impressed you more as a rebounder?
Rodman of course had the better stats as a rebounder, but Barkley had to expend so much energy being his team's primary offensive weapon.
Led the league in rebounding while averaging 23 a game. Top 5 in rebounding numerous times, top 10 in scoring numerous times. Rodman also had a tendency to try too hard for the rebounds, cheating off defenders.
Then again, while Barkley expended a lot of energy scoring, Rodman expended a lot more than Barkley on the defensive end.
Also, how tall are these guys? Barkley is listed at 6'6. Some say he's 6'4 or 6'5.- mugshot isn't the most reliable measurement, but he looked 6'7, 6'8.
Rodman's been listed at 6'7, 6'8. Crazy that he was only 5'11 at age 18.

Re: Rebounding: Charles Barkley vs. Dennis Rodman
Rodman's rebounding gives him the edge to lead his team in other ways. defense/physicality.
Rebounding was Barkley's way of leading his team. outside of his scoring.
comparing ones tangible against another's intangible.

How are you going to be 6'7, 210 lbs and average 18 boards a game and 13 for your career?

Technique and Desire. But Barkley Did It All, While Also Rebounding. Much More Impressive and Was Shorter.
