I hit open 5-foot jumpshots with ease
Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
Rajon Rondo - 10.8 apg / 8.3 ppg (38.6% fg) / 3.4 TOV
Ty Lawson - 10.4 apg / 16.2 ppg (40.9% fg) / 3.0 TOV
John Wall - 10.4 apg / 18.0 ppg (43.2% fg) / 4.1 TOV
Chris Paul - 9.9 apg / 18.1 ppg (51.7% fg) / 1.6 TOV
These are the top 4 assist men in the league. After that it's a big drop off to 7.7, shared by Curry and LeBron. (Not counting Ricky Rubio who has 10.0 apg but he's only played 5 games).
EDIT: Updated Chris Paul fg% and included turnover rate.
In terms of pure point guard numbers, I'd measure it as:
1. Paul (by a fair margin)
2. John Wall
3. Ty Lawson
----
4. Rajon Rondo (less than 10ppg and fg% below 40 doesn't put him in the same league as these guys)

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
Rondo is not one of the best point guards. He is a solid point guard but that's it. When you are comfortably on a lower tier to a list of other point guards, you are not one of the best.

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
I haven't checked the stats, but I can almost guarantee OP got Chris Paul's FG% incorrect. I'm guessing it is closer to 50% than it is 40%.
If that is the case, I'd take Paul over all of them.

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
These stats can eat a dick. Paul averages an absurd 10apg to 1.5topg...Wall averages 10 to 4 turnovers and scores more or less the same. (on significantly worse efficiency) The way Chris Paul is underrated by EVERYONE...not just this idiotic forum...but everyone is ****ing ridiculous. I mean jesus christ...you average 18ppg on great efficiency, 10 assist to 1.5 turnovers, play great defense and still people want to make you a scapegoat. He's the best pg in this league BY A HUGE MARGIN. I guess he has to win a championship for you idiots to realize that. Since you don't realize it's a team game and he can't just do it alone (what a horrible player...can't win a champion on his own..*shakes head*), I guess the Clips have to win a championship before you morons realize what a once in a life time, brilliant player he is...
Chris Paul has fairly easily become the most underrated player in the league since he hurt his knee 6 years ago.

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
Paul is shooting 51.7% and is the best PG in the game. Curry is #2 and Westbrook #3 then Lillard #4. After that there's a bunch of names arguable.

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
You got Paul's FG% and 3P% mixed up, he's shooting 40.8 from 3 and 52% overall.
It's CP, then Curry, then everybody else.
Westbrook is a SG

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
f*cking lol at everybody counting Westbrook out again for no apparent reason.

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
Rondo is a career 48% fg%
His season so far reflects more of him missing training camp and being less than a full season since returning from his knee injury than his normal ability.

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
Why not include turnovers as well, as if you are going to focus on assists, giveaways should count.

Re: Stat comparison of top 4 point guards
What is the point of cherry-picking three stats that don't even come close to showing the full picture? This point guard comparison is... pointless (HAH, GET IT?!).
Paul, Curry and Westbrook are the top 3 in whatever order you like. I don't see how that can really be disputed.

You must not be too bright. He said that those are the top 4 PGs in assists.
