All those players that say "I would trade all this money for a ring" are full of it in general, and say that with completely financial security, and no worry of losing everything they've built.

Ask any player that ever after taking away everything again and they take the first option of the 100+ mil dollars.

Rings are nice for the legacy, but half the time you have guys with rings who weren't nearly as good as guys without them being ranked above them, but I doubt it really means much, considering they weren't as good and didn't get paid nearly as much. Look at guys like Ewing or even Malone. Few things go differently during MJ's little break and they could be viewed as better players than Hakeem and in the top 10.

    Silly question.

First, If I was a pro player, I'd actually want to play. Second, Superstar talent and an extra 100 mil?

    Really?

    And 5mil a year for a 12 th man??

$125 or $25 million is more money than I would know what to do with so I'll take the latter.

Op must still be living with mommy and daddy. You take the money 100 times out of 100. NBA players have sold their rings that alone should tell you something.

The 100 million Dollar difference makes this quite unreasonable.
