Rivers will be more like Steph Curry, not Monta Ellis/Tyreke Evans. He'll probably become a very good NBA player, and maybe make an all-star team or two, but I highly doubt he'll end up becoming an an elite level player like Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Durant.

I think if he slides to the Pg position I can defiantly see him being able to a superstar type of player

From what I see.... Hes going to be a pesky defender who can shoot the open shot and will be quick...

Doc Rivers wasnt a superstar but he was a very solid PG in the Andre Miller role with better defense.

Austin Rivers is quick but its not rondo/rose/west brook quick. Id say hes above average NBA athletiscm to make plays. Hes not a shooter like Stephen Curry who can go lights out from 3.

I hope he stays in College at least 2 years, where he can fill his frame in the weight room...maybe grow 6'4(6'3 now) and be able to distribute.

33.9%, similar to what Deandre Liggins is shooting against college guys.

FT% is still a chilly 69%.

For his career, Rivers is:

Soph: 84 for 235 from 3 for 36%; 66% FT
Jr: 82 for 218 from 3 for 38%; 67% FT
Sr: 84 for 248 from 3 for 33.9%; 69% FT

Overall, 250 for 701 from 3 for 35.7%. 67.3% FT. Against high schoolers.


Sounds like to me he's a volume scorer. Those shooting percentages don't exactly wow you and he's still in high school.

I'm not saying he's going to be a bust but I also don't seem him as the next NBA mega superstar.
