The thing is, as a Lakers fan, I still have some unfounded hope that this year of rest and possibly rehab has strengthened and rejuvinated him enough to possibly allow him to get close to that level again.

It wouldn't suprise me at all to see Kobe have strong season. He'll be highly motivated and it goes without saying he's been working hard. I think both he and Wade will silence a lot of the doubters.

Once the season starts, Wade, Manu and Kobe will be in everyoen's top 10. Harden as well. In the offseason it's easy to write all these guys off, but unless they are injured big time they are making the top 10 easily.
