The day that OJ Mayo lost his manhood and pride-Jordan responds to the challenge
Best player out of high school thinks he could take old man Jordan.
Worst mistake he ever made!

Re: The day that OJ Mayo lost his manhood and pride-Jordan responds to the challenge
I forgot that OJ Mayo looked 30 years old in the face when he was 17.
Also...obviously MJ wrecked him...Mayo was 17 lol. Old man strength is real...can back down 17-year olds all day.
Oh and Mayo's rookie year was his best year...think about that.

Dude had all the tools to be a hall of fame type player but he just didn't have the talent or work ethic.

So he had the tools but didn't have the talent? I'm not sure I follow. What exactly about OJ mayo tells you he and hall of fame could ever be in the same sentence. Because he was good in high school? He has a good vert but he's 6'4.5" w a 6'6" wingspan.

NBA sixth man of the year

Alot of players have the tools or talent to be a HOF player but they are severely lacking on the mental aspect of the game which is just as important as talent. Guys like Darko Milicic, JR Smith, Josh Smith, Beasley, McGee, etc, etc. Maybe saying these guys had HOF potential is stretching it but if they had better work ethics and were smarter players they would have been MUCH Better.

Actually a pretty good interview. Mayo seemed very honest and aware of how things went down. No real false bravado there.

I actually think that it wouldnt be bad for him to model his game after Jason Terry a little bit.
