Jordan in 02 got hurt around the all star break and because he didnt want to quit on the team played through much of it and only put up 16ppg and played just 28 minutes after the break. But before it....

25/6/5.3 and he was getting better. Working into shape. he month just before he got hurt he averaged a rounded off 27/7/5.

I remember Charles Barkley bragging about guessing what Michael would average when he came back and played with the Wizards(guessed 25ppg). I remember watching the game statline live on CBSSportsline.com when he got injured. Watched all games that I couldn't get on that site(didn't have league pass back then). It was verses Miami and I just remember the game being tight all game and all the sudden he got substituted for Tyrone Nesby or somebody and never cam back in. I stopped watching basketball for the rest of the season really from there.

What's funny about the claim is that Jordan outplayed everyone, not just the SG's of his day, which Poseidon is apparently oblivious to. Jordan is one of the few players in history (possibly the only one, but I'd have to check to be certain) who was never outplayed in any playoff series in his prime ('88-'93). He outplayed Magic, Barkley, Malone, Ewing, Isiah -- everyone.
