What set you claim?
Re: 2012 NBA's Best Midrange Scorers
I'd be surprised if Kobe dropped below 48% on those 10-15ft jumpers.

D-whistle jokes aren't applicable anymore OP.. especially this season..
He's only averaging 5.3fta, meanwhile Kobe has averages of 8fta... both playing in about 35-36MPG.

By his logic that is why Kobe is shooting such a high percentage "because he is getting bailed out by refs!!"

You realize he's NEVER been at the top of this list before right? You're acting as if this is normal when it's never happened before? Looks pretty stupid.
Oh, and this is only 10 games in, which means there's little chance he's actually staying at the top. But yeah, way to look smart...

Where did you get those number from, Dave ?

NBA.com's hotspots. They split up the floor into many different sections. I add all the FGM/FGA from a certain range on the floor and divide them to get the number. Kobe in 2006 (his best season as far as I know) was a ~44% shooter from 16-23.

Re: 2012 NBA's Best Midrange Scorers
The numbers will go down as the season progress probably, but Kobe's been killing at the mid-range.
There are some names that you didn't put down.
Steve Nash is shooting 54.0% at the 16-23 feet range.
You didn't put Chris Paul either, who is shooting pretty solid. You didn't put Kevin Durant either.
But it doesn't really matter much since it's only the beginning of the seaosn. I would wait about 20-30 games in.
