    Default Was Kobe the LVP this season?

    LVP = least valuable player.

    My reasons:
    - Has a terrible contract that sets the Lakers back one more year.
    - Isn't willing to take a back seat to other players.
    - Being injury prone and old makes him liability on defense and offense.
    - Curses at his teammates in practice, making him a bad influence to the young players on the team.

    - Contract doesn't set anything back, Lakers used 20 mil cap space last season on Young, Hill, Boozer and Davis, Lakers still have cap space to sign a max player in addition to their #2 and #27 pick

    - isn't willing to take a back seat to Nick Young? who knew

    - him being old and injured led to the #2 pick

    - cursing in practices is a regular thing, you would know that if you ever actually played any sports

    Terrible contract point is accurate. Even if it can be offset by cap space there's no denying that he's not even close to worth that kind of money at this point in his career.

    Should he take a back seat? If there was someone serviceable to replace him, probably yeah, but who's going to replace him? Nick Young? If there was a legitimate successor at the 2 I think he'd be more willing to take a back seat but there's nothing right now.

    Applies to every old player. They're obviously going to be more prone to injuries, that's part of aging. There's only so much control one has over their health as an athlete.

    It's called intensity, something that every team needs. Not his biggest fan but no denying that Kobe is an alpha and should be the team's leader. If he has to curse, let him curse, it doesn't ****ing matter. I'm guessing you spent your childhood playing house league sports and not showing up to practice, not really a surprise.

    Did you expect a 36 year old to come out and play like an MVP? Stupid agenda thread.

    The problem is that there's kobe fans on ISH who made numerous threads claiming he would come out and play like an MVP. Kobe would get way less hate here if it weren't for the delusional fans who can't admit he's aged.

    I agree with most of your points too but I think it would be interesting to see if Kobe would take a back seat to another star (which they didn't have)
