American Hustle vs The Wolf on Wall Street

No Spoilers please. I Haven't seen Wolf on Wall Street yet.

I've seen American Hustle and thought it was very good, it has higher critics ratings than Wolf on Wall Street on rotten tomatoes but some people insist Wolf was the better movie. For those who have seen both, which is the better movie?

both a little overrated with all the oscars hype but i'll go with Wolf on Wall Street, one of the best movies i've seen this year.

I gave both movies a 10 on IMDB which is rare for me to do, but I would have to say that Wolf of Wall Street was more enjoyable to me personally, and probably has greater replay value, although I've only seen each movie once.

It just seems like once you know the ending of American Hustle it will be less enjoyable, whereas I'm kind of itching to see Wolf of Wall Street again.

There is little doubt that American Hustle has better performances, but I like Wolf of Wall Street's story a little better, and it has more laughs.

Wolf, I thought was quite good. I think the subject matter/main character turned some people off Wolf, especially if they felt it was celebrating a fairly despicable person.

I was entertained by the first two-thirds of American Hustle, but I stopped believing it some time along the way and the last part felt like an acting exercise and that took me out of the story.

Not to mention Jeremy Renner gave the best performance of the entire year (for an American film).

I thought Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams all outperformed anything I seen in Wolf...

Wolf is still the better movie and still has some decent performances.

It was damn good, but it wasn't better than Jared Leto.

I liked Amy Adams. I thought Christian Bale was good, but not outstanding.

I thought DiCaprio was great especially the physical comedy bits and that Jonah Hill was the most entertaining thing in either movie.

Eh, I liked Leto in DBC, but I wasn't at all blown away by his performance. He didn't really create a character with depth, something Renner did with significantly less screen time Renner's performance was just heartbreaking.

Fassbender should have won Best Supporting Actor over Leto too.
