Default Can someone educate me on the Kings Pick? What needs to happen?

    For the 2015-2016 season.

    Cheers

Bulls receive Kings 2016 first round pick, Top 10 protected. 2016-2017, or second round pick in 2018 (top 55 protected) or extinguished. (meaning we get nothing at all)

It is actually "protected for selections 56-60". That wording makes it sound as if Bulls get it if it falls anywhere else.

And this is a great, great resource for draft picks:

So we need the Kings to not be one of the 10 worst teams in the league, but essentially if they fall to 11 or after we get it which means we can potentially get a lottery pick.

We have drafted pretty well over the years and haven't had a high pick if this turns out well I would be excited to see who we get, but obviously a long time away but certainly a great asset.

    Let's go Kings!

Maybe if the Kings are hovering around the playoffs around the deadline we could package that pick along with a player for an upgrade at the wing. I love MDJ but if a guy like Iggy or a player of his skillset became available....

I think the Kings will be much improved this year. Our chances of getting their pick are pretty high, IMO, assuming everyone is healthy for them.

As for what we do with it? I'm sure it will be underwhelming, just like normal. Probably draft another PF, but not trade any of them away while they still have value.

Ok thanks for the responses. That makes sense.

Can anyone name 9 teams currently worse than kings now?

I have 76ers, celtics, lakers, wolves, as locks for worse record.

Possibly better record than Orlando, nets, suns and ten you chuck in a few teams with injuries?

I'd say they will be right on the edge. Should be interesting to see how they go

    Obviously highly speculative, but...
    Blazers
    Sixers
    Lakers
    Wolves
    Nets
    Nuggets
    Magic
Pacers (I am really down on this team. Don't understand the love)
    Charlotte

That's 9. But those are teams that I think Kings would/could beat in a head to head matchup. Not necessarily teams with worse records. But George Karl is a good RS coach, and Cousins is going to be the best player on the floor in the vast majority of games they play, and Cousins/CWS/Koufos will be the best bigman rotation in nearly all their games this year, too.

Yeah I think Charlotte won't be one but nuggets and blazers yes. I think it's going to be close though.
