    Its funny how people act like there were absolutely no other athletes like today's at the time that could've guarded Jordan. They didn't for a reason and thats cause they weren't as effective (or more ineffective depending on how you look at it). Jordan was either too quick for the bigger guys or too big for the smaller guys, or just too skilled and savy for everyone.

    Another thing thats funny is that people act like the elite defenders of the past 12 years were all ridiculous athletes. Since when have Bowen, Artest, Battier, Posey, Kidd considered these ridiculous athletes? Since when were guys like T-Mac, Vince, Odom, Gerald Green, Demar Derozan, Desmond Mason considered great defenders? Don't get me wrong, there are long athletic elite defenders Prince, Marion, Lebron, and Wade but its not necessarily the norm and there were still plenty of them in the 80s/90s. Great defense has always been more about effort and awareness.
