Not just the NBA, but College ball seems like it was more fun to watch back in those days because you really saw great match ups. You saw guys that were legitimate NBA players. Nowadays you have guys that only play one year, that are very athletic, but not refined..just pure potential. Not as fun, the level of play has gone down.

No, because he looks less advanced than Wilt looks at roughly that point in their retrospective careers. Wilt wasn't making that many mistakes and had a better offensive game and played with much (emphasis on much) greater effort on rebounding and defense. To be fair though, Shaq in that game is only a freshman, I have NO games of Wilt as a freshman because in Wilt's era freshman were not allowed to play. So I'm comparing Sophomore Wilt games to that freshman Shaq game. Either way Shaq looked very raw at that time.
