Default Steph Curry is stronger than Michael Jordan?

I came across this article that shows how strong Steph Curry is.

    http://mweb.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on...ift-400-pounds

He can deadlift over 400 pounds. There is nothing about Jordan lifting that much online or at the Library. It looks like he has never been able to lift as much as Curry.

The Warriors team is weak af if they consider that strong. If you know anything about lifting you would know that trap bar deadlifts are way easier than conventional deadlifts. It wouldn't surprise me if Curry couldn't even move 315 off the floor, conventional. The trap bar deadlift is essentially a squat and Jordan had way stronger legs than Curry.

I can do 407lbs conventional deadlift and I'm shorter than Curry, not impressed.

Do you know what a deadlift is? Are you confusing it with bench press? 400 lbs isn't that impressive.

    Are you serious?

    400lbs deadlift isn't impressive?

99.5% of the worlds population wouldn't be able to do that. Even those who train, a large majority cannot do that. Then add in those who can, I'd say 50% couldn't do it without a belt. Those who can, 50% probably can't do it for more than a single or with good form.

Completely baseless numbers to an extent, but 400lbs not being impressive? What a joke...

EDIT: To put into perspective how "unimpressive" the 400lbs deadlift is. The average crossfit athlete was 190lbs in 2010, and the average DL was 470lbs. But yeah... 400lbs is unimpressive.

Being short has its advantage with lifting.

Not really in deadlift, long arms means the bar has to travel a shorter distance.

400lbs among lifters is not THAT impressive for someone weighing say 90kg and has lifted for a couple of years. It's still a good lift.

400 lbs is a solid deadlift by any measure short of competitive powerlifting. Probably less than 5% of gym rats could do it.

So you have to move the bar a shorter distance... of course it would be easier for you.

Anatomical advantages go like this... Most people don't have a clue about these things so I'll set it straight in a simple manner

Deadlift - Long arms = good

Bench - Short arms + Big ribcage = good

Squat - Short femur + long torso = good
