Should Mavs keep Villanueva?

I was a little in the dark on Villanueva in his last years as a Piston. I know he was injured sometimes but I thought a very large portion of those 144 missed games was him just not fitting into the Pistons rotation, not caring, or not providing the effort that'd result in playing time.

I'm curious to see what a new start would do for that guy. What has he been doing in Dallas thus far?

Interesting. Do the Mavs have 15 players under guaranteed deals? He was a one-trick pony in his last years with Detroit, and even then, only to a marginal degree. It seemed like he was trying to make up for lost time when he'd get into games, firing with any hint of daylight. It did not yield great results.

I doubt he makes the roster. But I am hoping he does, cause that would mean he really impressed Carlisle. He would be an ideal back up to Dirk.

Yes they do, but im hoping Mekel gets waived for Charlie or Ivan Johnson. Don't need 4 PGs when theres a hole for back up bigs.

He can shoot the 3 (although he is streaky). Can't do much else. Like play defense.
