This is what I don't like about djokostans. Nobody in this thread has talked about Nadal being better than Djokovic but here we are, already 2 dudes whining about it. As a matter of fact, all us Nadal guys have talked about Djoker being inside his head for a while. But here we are, boohoo why doesn't anyone like my favorite player when he's clearly better than everyone? give it a rest, we'll talk about who the best is when they're all retired. For now, we'll consider them the 3 goats and enjoy their dominance.

Novak was better when he had 7 or 8 titles. Nothing has changed.

You can't sit there, watch the game of tennis, and somehow come to the conclusion that Nadal is the better player.
We all have our biases and whatnot, but this one isn't all that hard to distinguish.

I saw the highlights of the match. Novak was a machine in the final. He's probably impossible to beat on this surface when he plays like that with that level of shotmaking. Peak Nadal would have taken one set. Not more than that IMO...

I will say though as long as Rafa has his clay fortress, it will be hard for Novak to surpass him career wise. I hope Novak goes for the French in a big way this year but doesn't run himself to the ground in the process ala 2016.

I think when it's all said and done, the big three could well end up within one to two slams of each other. And at that point it becomes a matter of preference!

peak nadal can and would take this djokovic .. they went toe to toe in 2012 and that wasn't peak nadal .. but djokovic was goating at that time .. nadal just sucked in this match .. missed shot after shot when he had chances to make a move .. dreadful .. you can't have a chance against any good player with that type of effort

Never seen Rafa holding back more on his shots than this final.

He could have evened every single set had he played slightly better, and Djok would have felt the nerves and not been flawless, we saw that on his last 2 service games in the 3rd set.
