ESPN just posted an article showing he makes 39.8% of his 3 pointers from 30-40 feet.
So contrary to George's assertion it was not a really "bad" shot. Of course, the question is whether he could have gotten in a better shot. But driving into the teeth of the defense as the clock runs down is much harder than it appears, so there's a legit question as to whether he could have drove the lane and gotten a better percentage mid-range look or dumped it off for a lay up.. George also played great defense, coming a hairbreadth from blocking the final three pointer. But when someone's playing at the level of Lillard last night, sometimes all you can do is tip your hat.
