Knicks all da way
Re: How long should JR Smith be suspended?
Same ole JR. He was a piece of shit on Denver, he was a piece of shit on the Knicks, and now he is a piece of shit on the Cavs. Shump >>>>>>> JR easily. JR routinely turns into a 30% shooter in the playoffs, pretty sure it happened every year in the playoffs. Shump was the 2nd best player for the Knicks in the 2013 playoffs after Melo. JR was about the 5th best, even though he was the 2nd option. This guy does not handle success too well, he's gonna be suspended but watch him tweet about partying it up somewhere (lol if Cleveland has any spots).
TL;DR Shump >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> JR

1 game is automatic for a F2.
You guys are delirious. The officials let this game get way out of hand and are probably responsible for a fair amount of the conflict. Knowing that Boston's play already led to the loss of Love and probably the Championship aspirations of the team its going to be minimal; likely in the range of 1-2 games.
And saying it is the same as Artest's elbow is obscenely dumb.

Only if they didn't get ejected in the game. You can get an F2, which kicks you out of the game, and be back by the next one.
This does not appear to be one of those situations though.

I wouldn't be surprised if its NO suspension at all.... you know, LeBrons* team and all.

JR is a bonehead but he got hit with >1000 pounds of pressure in his back by a dirty player and swung wildly behind him.
So intent isn't there, origination isn't there, and the results are significantly less as Harden had a nasty concussion and missed more time than Artest.

Repeat offender, though. They'll send a message imo

Re: How long should JR Smith be suspended?
This was an incredibly dangerous play from J.R. Smith. I would recommended a 10 game suspension, however I think the NBA will settle for 5.
Jr Smith essentially threw a suckerpunch on Crowder which rendered him momentarily dazed, if he wasn't briefly unconscious. This also caused Crowder's head to smack into the court and twist his knee in a very dangerous position with his body collapsing on it.
This isn't the first time JR Smith has been involved in throwing strikes at other players either. And this one was something you'd see at a UFC fight or during a World Star street fight video.

Crowder got a sprained ACL too. That'll factor in imo

Please clap.

They were both no-look blows to the head. What makes Artest's situation different is that this is Smith's second such incident whereas Artest has a rap sheet. So maybe it shouldn't be as long as Artest's if the NBA was factoring in Artest's long history.

Re: How long should JR Smith be suspended?
Artest was going straight to the head. JR wasn't even looking where he was hitting. He got shoved in the back a few times and he swung wildly behind him without looking. He might have caught a shoulder but Crowder was low shoving so he caught it in the jaw. Calling it a sucker punch is out of line because JR didn't even know what he was swinging at

But as stated above, LeBron team, so he'll get a fine or something instead.
