    Default We good Mavs fans

Opponents shot 30-of-109 against Anderson last season, per Synergy, and turned it over 15.2 percent of the time. Lockdown.

Anderson was among those to post impressive numbers at the pre-draft combine in the physical testing portion of the week.

Along with having just five percent body fat, his wing span measured 7-feet.

His time of 2.88 seconds in the shuttle run (it tests your agility and ability to change direction) was fourth-best among those tested.

And his 43-inch max vertical leap was second only to Arlington, Mass., native and former Notre Dame guard Pat Connaughton, whose vertical leap at the pre-draft combine was 44 inches (he, too, is expected to work out for the Celtics prior to the NBA draft).

Wasn't blown away with him last year when he did play.

    Nice value pick though.

Meh....fine pick and like him as a player, but this might mean Aminu won't be back. And this guy will be much worse than Aminu for at least the next two years.

If we keep Aminu...maybe Justin can play the 2 quite a bit. If we get Danny Green...Justin would be a nice bench sg/sf to bring off the bench.

That is the kind of depth this team is going to need:

    Green/Justin
    Parsons/Aminu

I actually really like that....but still so many holes to fill on this roster.

We need a starting pg. And have no depth around Dirk at the bigs.

This roster, and it could change, is currently a dumpster fire.

Singh is an even better pick. Mavs did it as a favour to Jordan

Pick means nothing regarding Aminu. Aminu opted out today, btw. Aminu is a 4/3... plays more like a power forward than a small forward.

Anderson plays a 3/2. Plays more like a small forward than a shooting guard.

Don't really play the same position.

Thanks...I know what positions Aminu plays.

I never said they couldn't play together...in fact, I even talked about Justin playing mostly the two if need be.

But this pick could be a sign we don't think Aminu is worth his price....and we are adding a versatile wing player that can defend next to Parsons. Which I hope isn't the case...Aminu is essential next to and behind Parsons/Dirk.

My prediction was spot on, the kid is a great defender. He can block shots and stay in front of his man.

His 3 pointer is a bit shaky, but he will improve.

He is in the same class as Crowder and Aminu.

Why is there a whole thread on Justin Anderson? Dude is a role player. Who cares. He won't make or break any team.

    let's be honest...

Kevin Durant is the only person that can save us next year.

we have to get him in FA somehow.
