We'll find out this year. He gets hurt a lot, I don't know if that has to do with his playing style. I'm sure he's happy to have his own team kinda like Westbrook was after KD left. The offense can run through him... we'll know soon enough if he is overrated.
I honestly don't know what he's good at. He's not skilled, doesn't have go-to moves and rarely dunks anymore.
I think he's too short at 6-8 max so he has to exert a lot of effort to jump higher so his shots will not get blocked. The problem too is that he gets injured a lot. Has developed a pretty good perimeter shot but without CP3 now, setting him up, I think the true BG will be revealed this year.
Yal sleeping on this dude, I guess its warranted due to the bizarre and sometimes wtf level injuries he has had. But he is very skilled offensively. He is one of the best passing big men in the league. With zero spacing due to DJ inability to do anything offensively has him going up against 2 bigs. He is limited defensively tho
Also, I think the LA lifestyle might have caught him in it's trap. It's easy to happen
He's rated perfectly fine. I am excited to see how will Clippers perform this year, him being the clear cut main guy. He is really a skilled big man, unshowcased due to CP3 and his highlight dunks shadows his skill set.
Depends who you ask. Some think he cant even be all-nba level which underrates him while others think he's a dark horse top 5 player which is overrating. He is injury prone and over reliant on a meh jumpshot but still a very good scorer and one of the best passing pfs. Draymond is a better playmaker he may have more passing skill.
He was just great at his peak which was 2014. Malone comparison is dumb but there is nothing wrong with comparing his peak to webber or kemp or even claiming his peak was a little better.
He's basically a modern day light-skin Karl Malone, if Karl Malone had an injury-riddled career....he can get 20/10/5 pretty much in his sleep and is more athletic than most PFs/bigs and is also a decent jump-shooter but all these injuries have slowed him down...missed his first year and came back and had one of the best rookie years I've ever seen, was the biggest name on all highlight reels/SC for at least 2 years and then faded away.
He's definitely worth the money he's being paid but he needs to get his health right.
