Re: Harrison Barnes declines his 25.1 million player option
Definitely. Lot of role player types can get 12.5, Barnes is a bit better than them

Re: Harrison Barnes declines his 25.1 million player option
Probably a combination of him working out a long-term deal and seeing these injuries and realizing nothing is guaranteed.
Even on the reduction, he'll probably be overpaid and still make a lot.

I still cant believe players of the caliber of HB are getting paid 25m, and I like Harrison Barnes.

Get him a body bag!
Re: Harrison Barnes declines his 25.1 million player option
I remember when Barnes was like the #1 or #2 mock NBA draft prospect heading into college.

Can the Lakers/Lebron get him?

Damn. I hope it's so he signs a longer deal with the Kings.

Re: Harrison Barnes declines his 25.1 million player option
He's only 27, dumb move imo. But it is the Kings, so expect them to bring out the Brink truck.

Good college starter
Re: Harrison Barnes declines his 25.1 million player option
Word is, he'll just re-sign w/ Kings, 4 years and around $16-18m/yr. Guess he wanted the guaranteed long term deal now, instead of risking to wait til next season.

I hope so. Kings NEVER sign good free agents. The last decent FA we signed was Vlade.

I would consider Brad Miller a FA, even though it was a sign and trade.

Lots that we can "consider" that but he wasn't. Sign and trades back then didn't have the power they do today. Now it seems to can pick where you want to be traded to if you are good.

Lebron was also a sign and trade to Miami

Top 10.
Re: Harrison Barnes declines his 25.1 million player option
Any club giving him more than 15-16m deserves to get flogged.
