    Bob Pettit.

2-time MVP. Beat the dynasty Celtics in the NBA Finals for his championship. you know. The team that guy Bill Russell was playing on at the time. And Bob Cousy.

    Yea, those guys.

While I generally try to increase the respect paid to Bob...I think it has to be said that Russell was injured in those finals. He balled...but Russell was hurt and out a good bit. It isnt by chance they only lost once in his first 10 years...and it was when he was hurt in the finals.

Yes, however that shouldn't take away from the dominant performance Pettit had that post-season, and really year.

It may dampen the weight of his Finals win, but not performance, or ultimate achievement in bringing the "Hawks" their only championship, wouldn't you say?

Malone 5 APG? When? You Might Have Made a Mistake for Charels Barkleys 1993 Season.

    Malone Better than Barkley?

Wouldn't be mad if Baylor won either.

But there's no way a sensible poster making a decision based on knowledge and fact....rather than favorite memories....can make a case for Isiah Thomas over Pettit or Baylor. In no way, shape, or form did he dominate his era or position the way Bob Pettit and Elgin Baylor did.

Then again. Sensible isn't exactly the word I'd use to describe the typical ISH poster...
