Would there have been any point in trading Eddie Jones if Kobe wasn't there and Dirk was? So there you go...Eddie Jones replaces him. I'm still baffled why they even did that trade...an old ass Glen Rice for Eddie Jones and Elden Campbell? Why couldn't they just move Jones or kobe to sf? Considering Glen Rice was a horrible defensive player and rebounder...it's not like his size mattered much. Eddie Jones was also never a guy who was demanding shots...Rice was whining all year long in 2000. I've never got why they did that trade. It's the reason why they had to start old ass AC Green at PF too.

Doesn't matter who starts at PF when you have MDE Shaq at C. Even Slava Medvedenko was good enough to start on title winning teams.

Glen Rice was one of the best shooters in the league, perfect fit for the triangle offense next to Shaq in the low post and Kobe on the perimeter.
