Default Re: Greatest sidekick of all time: Pippen vs Kobe

Opposing players used to disparage and disrespect Pippen like he was not a good player.

That kind of think never happened with Kobe - i.e. no one snickered and implied that Kobe was overrated like Isiah did about Pippen on Open Court.

Bill Laimbeer: "We didn't even think about Scottie Pippen. It was Michael Jordan and the Jordannaires - and you can't win championships like that with only 1 player."

No one said this kind of stuff about Kobe.

You realize the Pistons/Bulls rivalry was before Pippen really reached stardom right? As I pointed out before...Bill is basically saying you can't win championships with just one star...and the Bulls didn't. Pippen developed and became a star. What Laimbeer has to say here is irrevelent because the only season you could legitimately call Pippen a star during their rivalry was 91. (and the pistons were raped)

Now stop being such a stupid bastard.

He was a terrible sidekick in 2011 if he had done his part Wade would be a 2 time finals MVP.
