BTW, Shaq would have been great in the 60's. But he would have had to adapt his game.
On this one sequence alone, he would have fouled out...

No way the NBA in the 60's would have allowed that.

It does not affirm that.
It shows he only dunked off lobs at LSU.
That means you only score on backdoor plays created not by you, but by your guards/forwards.
You will never be the GOAT scoring only off backdoor plays and rebounds. Based on that LSU video Shaq was destined to be a bigger Deandre Jordan.
Shaq got way better than that LSU video indicated, he actually played in the post. All that video showed was the athletic entertaining plays not technically challenging/skilled basketball plays he eventually learned - those are more impressive IMO.
Still, he never rebounded or played defense like Wilt Chamberlain so these Wilt comparisons are tiresome. Physically it's of course an interesting matchup. But actual production? Wilt was doing more things for his teams.

Shaq was an incredible player and all, but he never would have had the stamina to play an insane amount of minutes to put up monster numbers, which is why he rarely scored over 40 a game and averaging less than 35mpg for his career.

Yeah, he might have put up great numbers back then being that he's a freak of nature, but he wouldn't be playing Wilt minutes. I don't think Shaq gets 40 shots a game on 48 minutes. That's just insane.
Both Wilt and Shaq our outliers, but in different ways.

Re: Put an 18 yrs.old Rookie Shaq with the Philadelphia Warriors in the 1960's
I really hate that rag doll quote. As strong as Wilt was it's going to be hard moving someone who's not only strong as hell himself, but heavier than you, has a lower center of gravity, with feet the size of aircraft carriers (22s vs 15). Wilt's the superior athlete, faster, stronger, could jump higher, more stamina, longer etc....with the way they called fouls then they likely wouldn't budge each other...But Wilt would give Shaq a lot of problems more than the other way around, especially with the way Handchecking was called back then.
Anyways with that said it'd be interesting to see Shaq in the 60s. I've seen the types of offensive fouls called on big men and it wasn't even a sliver of the bulldozing Shaq did....So his game would be totally different....He might of actually played a lot like Wilt
2nd-3rd best center in the league, if he's lucky 1 or 2 rings

Re: Put an 18 yrs.old Rookie Shaq with the Philadelphia Warriors in the 1960's
He would put up crazy numbers cause he is an all time great
Then you would have dumb kids on forums saying shaq wouldn't be able to play today cause everyone he played against was a 6'5 white beta
That's exactly what would happen
