I don't believe in asterisk rings, there are injuries each and every year. Just for context, really.

Excellent idea. I have no knowledge of such a list, but it would be very informative to have.

What would be the baseline to be considered a key player? MPG? What about nagging injuries (evidently playing unhealthy)?

    Cool idea if executed, tho.

Key player is anyone who would be in the playoff rotation I guess, but it's kinda subjective. Nagging injuries count as well if they're debilitating.

I guess I'm wondering what the litmus test for debilitating is. Are we looking at injuries that just clearly limit a player's effectiveness, but he yet plays his usual minutes, or maybe one that causes him to play only 15 minutes when he's typically a 35 minute guy, or causes him to miss an entire game?

I'd say both, as long as it makes a team's path to the title appreciably more difficult.

I have Worthy 83 in there, I'll add 99 Ewing and Peja in 02. I have some rough ideas about West's/Baylor's injuries but I'd prefer to wait for someone who has specifics (ideally about others from the era, such as Thurmond, Reed, etc. as well).

I don't think Ray Allen would qualify here.
