JR putting up 14 ppg 36% from 3.
Can't complain about that at all. His defense hasn't been too bad either

LeGM making sure Durant will NEVER win a ring in OKC.

Can't stand Waiters. His "hands up, pass me the ball" crap is truly maddening.
However, ole Scotty plays him. Which gives him more value than our usual first round draft pick (which we traded for him).

Re: Do Thunder fans regret trading for Waiters now?
How could Thunder fans regret something that they played no part in?
Presti traded for him, not the fans.
Presti also traded Harden, not the fans.
Pretty sure no Thunder fans wanted to give up Harden. Pretty sure no Thunder fans want Brooks as coach.
You should actually feel bad for Thunder fans, they had a potential dynasty dismantled right in front of them, and Durant will probably leave OKC with zero rings.
On topic: Waiters is garbage. He is a worse version of Reggie Jackson. I've never seen a player so out of touch with the reality of their skillset. Stop calling for the ball, you can't make an open 3 to save your life and your long step-back 2 will be short. What a team cancer.

Waiters has a disgusting arch on his jumper. Gave me headache just watching it.

Re: Do Thunder fans regret trading for Waiters now?
Guy is a scrub. Not a good 3 pt shooter and not a good defender, so he's basically useless.
Outside of WB and Durant, Ibaka and Morrow are the only guys who aren't completely useless offensively, and they're both very limited themselves, but at least they can shoot. Other than that?
- low IQ chuckers with poor range (Jackson and Waiters)
- Complete liabilities (Roberson, Perkins, Collison, Adams)

It hasn't worked out in OKC's favor yet.

OKC fans are starting to turn on Dion. Shooting 28% over the past 7 games but he's touching the ball more, so he's got that going for him.

Waiters has always been a dumber version of J.R. Smith, however hard that was to fathom.
Dude is selfish, always starts issues and can not play teamball. Yet, Cav fans were continually defending him and preaching him. Another team where he falters and causes issues, no surprise.
And this was who OKC gave up a first for

RBA defended him head and toe. I'm just like, "Dude, let him go. He doesn't fit the team concept. Let it go, let it go. I can't hold it back anymore."

Would be a good time to bump the "Waiters is like OKC Harden but with better defense" thread

I was a better, smarter Cavs fan than RBA. And most of your fan base. I called before the season even started that he'd hold the Cavs back, create issues, and the team would be much better with a different type of player. JR being an upgrade statistically, and ability wise. Not to mention getting Shump as well. Who provides necessary perimeter defense they were lacking. Only the Cleveland faithful got on my case about it defending this selfish goon. A selfish goon without the talent to justify it.
