god i miss elite footwork like this. it's much more beautiful than to watch some retard dribbling and crossing over aimlessly until the defender bites

Kobe's play doesn't belong, I'm sorry. Kobe was a hell of a player and had a higher all time ranking than those other two guys by far but there's no way in hell that Kobe had a smooth game.

Even his spectacular plays seldom looked smooth.

McGrady looks like he's sleepwalking through plays... Kobe looked like his face was going to explode... and his movements were no where near as silky...

The LeBron gif is ridiculous too... straight up doesn't belong.

McGrady is the smoothest player to enter the league since what? George Gervin?

In this thread, the Kyrie drive on Raptors gif is by far the closest to McGrady's smoothness with Dr. J not being far from Kyrie.

Look who's back to trolling full time.

Pathetic.

Kobe is easily one the most entertaining players of all time no matter how you feel about him.

bowl cut Bill seems to be confusing a sleepy demeanor with being smooth... by his reference to tmac... but you can have plenty of intensity and still be smooth which is just a combination of craftiness, & fluidity. Kobe probably had the best fine motor/body control, plus arsenal of timely counters of any player to ever play.

I see what hes saying about Kobe being smooth relative to Tmac. Kobes smooth was like the inner workings of a watch. It was precision. Meticulous. Order in chaos. Tmacs smooth wasnt precision. It was like watching melted chocolate poured onto something. Tmac had a flow. Kobe had a precision.

Kinda like Vince Carters dunking vs Jason Richardson. Richardson did some technically more complex dunks...but they didnt look as good. Its the way Vinces arms move...his shoulders. Its like hes all muscle and skin...no bones to hold back the movement.

Kobe was smooth....but more in his calm, measured, approach to scoring. Tmac was smooth like....gumby playing basketball. He just moved differently.

A much simpler explanation would be a poster with one of the highest estrogen levels this site has ever seen simply doesn't like Kobe.

You can see that tmac may have a smoother game than Kobe ..by a little bit because he's one of the best all time in that regard..but it goes back to the all or nothing approach you complain about. If tmac is a 10 in fluidity and rythym, Kobe was a 9. Bill, the guy you're agreeing with, said kobes game was never smooth at all. Its gotten to the point we have to redefine what words mean.

I’m not sure how I’d rank it 1-10. I wasn’t getting that deep into it.

In truth I only had 2 plays to begin but felt that 2 wouldn’t cut it.

This was initially gonna be an absurdly long hypothetical question during which your worst enemy pulls off all these moves on you on 4 straight plays in some kind of pickup game with big stakes like loser leaves town.

I didn’t feel like putting in the time to flesh it out but it would ended up in a moral dilemma like if a guy did you that dirty in front of the whole town would you still save his life if you could not act and have nobody know you let him die....

I was bored but noooooot quite bored enough to write a whole story.

people see a few fade away jumpers of kobe and think he has a smooth game ? selfish, inefficient play style that contains 1-2 "flashy" plays a game. there's a reason he's never shot above 46% a single season, dude just didn't have it.
