Wilt Davis
James Haren vs Chef Curry advanced
As we all know on ISH, normal stats are misleading. So let's look at the advanced stats to find the truth.
Haren:
12.9 PER, 39.9 TS%, -0.09 WS/48, -3.4 BPM
Chef:
52.3 PER, 76 TS%, .650 WS/48, 20.3 BPM

I have been a fan of Harden ever since his days at ASU but he has been exposed at this point.

Haren is 3/35 on threes through 3.5 games.

Player's choice MVP though.

Looks close, a coin flip at this point.

Alright well, the Beard got loose in the second half, because it's OKC. So his 3 point shooting is now 7/42 on the season.

Re: James Haren vs Chef Curry advanced
Curry is better, but people need to stop pretending like Harden isn't a great player.
Would be great in any era, and giving you 25 points a night.

Re: James Haren vs Chef Curry advanced
Both would average more than 18ppg in the Finals in the 60's

I deleted that post because of his 69 finals. Wilt would be special in any era, as would Kareem, Shaq and few other all-time great bigs.
Wilt went up against a bunch of HOF bigs, and there were about 7 top 20 all-time players during his career.
As for Wilt's ppg avg in the finals, it's all about context.

you feel the need to defend him because you doubt it yourself
hall of fame means nothing since it doesnt account for competition
everyone back then cared about baseball boxing and track first

People don't realise that PER is a pretty much useless stat until 20 games have passed.

More like 12-15 ppg. No other era is giving him 10+ free throws a night.
