Would be on that Ewing level, maybe a little better

Although Dwight is great at shading the lane. GOAT level shader.

He dropped 22ppg in the most bigman rule suppressed era.

25 wouldn't be a problem for Dwight with Illegal Defense Rules

And this is supposed to be impressive or something? Those are good numbers, but we're talking all-time great centers. Those numbers don't even register.

He has awful post moves, hands of stone, and terrible footwork. He can't score without pick n roll, and would be awful with illegal defense rules.

Russell was a 15 ppg on 44% in the weakest era known to mankind

He wouldn't even average double digits in today's league

He is basically a bigger and stronger version of Mutombo. He had the greater size and athleticism to get more easy buckets on deep catches.

Superb shot blocker, elite rebounder maybe top-10 ever, probable HOF'er, good but overrated offense with a noticeable ceiling imo.. The 2009 Magic that went to the Finals were not a scrub team by any means. Rashard Lewis lead the Magic in scoring in a playoff series or two (averaged 19 ppg in the playoffs to Dwight's 20 ppg), Turkoglu was having arguably the best seasons of his career and the Magic played outside-in essentially (one of the best three point shooting teams in the league). Their defense was solid due to Dwight and Van Gundy and teamwork. Howard had a great series against old man Ilguaskas but got owned by Gasol and Bynum in the Finals. It happened, and the implications of it everybody will perceive differently. I got him in a tier similar to Alonzo Mourning all time. "One of the best ever" is relatively subjective. I both agree and disagree with that statement

One of the best rebounders, defenders and shot blockers of all-time in conjunction with 4.3 assists per game and being considered the cornerstone for 11 championships.

Howard doesn't belong in a conversation with Russell. They're not on the same level.

    Russell
    Shaq
    Hakeem
    DRob
    Moses
    DRob
    Mikan

    Same level:
    Mourning

    He's one of the best
    Ewing probably ahead???

No debate whatsoever that Patrick was better.

underrated. mutombo , mourning, and even Robinson never lead their team to the finals. Howard beat lebron head to head in the cf with similary matched teams. great playoff peformance last year. was having a good year prior to injury. top 20 c.

Give Robinson the 2009 Magic in the EC going up against a Celtics with no KG and he probably would have... Throw Dwight into the 90's and big man competition just got alot tougher.

Russell is a modern day elton brand without the jumper. Howard is superman there is no comparison. Shit any nba scrub player today would be a superstar in the 60s
