Also, I think a lot of the building around KG fell apart when Marbury bolted. Marbury and KG were good together.

KG couldn't close out games, his big moment shots were weird shit from the high post. He thrived with PP and Ray Allen because they could knock shit down in the clutch, KG handled business early and then the others closed shop late.

KG's inability to score in the clutch is why he will always be a 1B.

Pierce and Allen hit more clutch baskets because that's what they do. Allen is arguably the most dangerous clutch shooter in league history and Pierce was a great clutch playmaker both as a scorer as well as a passer. But if you think Garnett didn't hit a few big shots himself as a Celtic you're wrong.

As far as his time in Minnie, any analysis of it is unfair if it ignores the fact the Wolves lost 5 straight 1st round picks as punishment for the illegal Joe Smith deal. 2 firsts and cap space is the going rate for an All-Star in trade. A good Gm gets 5 rotation players out of those picks. You can't ignore the effect that had on the teams Garnett was leading. The one time he got a good supporting cast they made the Conference Finals. And may even have advanced had Cassell not been hurt.

Love's contract is set to expire at the end of the year. It was the TIMBERWOLVES that sought to turn the remaining few months of his deal into a revitalization of their franchise. All because they were the ones that treated their best player like crap and told him he wasn't worth what every other team in the league knew he was worth.

With Sterling and Kohl gone the TWolves are likely the worst run franchise in the league now. These comments are little more than evidence of this.

Blaming a player for wanting to leave at the end of his contractual obligation is CRAZY. Especially when they are trying to leave a dysfunctional mess like this.

And yeah, whenever asked all Love ever stated was that he was going to test free agency, which is something he's maintained for quite some time. The implication might have been that he was going to leave the Wolves but that was really only true because this is a team that hadn't made the playoffs in a decade and their organizational structure suggests nothing about that is going to change.
