Default Yao Ming - Top candidate for induction into Basketball Hall Of Fame

"Allen Iverson, Yao Ming, Shaquille O'Neal, Tom Izzo and Sheryl Swoopes are some of the top candidates for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as the Hall begins its switch to a four-year waiting period for candidacy."

He was a great global ambassador and brought in the Asian Market into NBA. Legit Center when he was injury free.

The NBA has done a lot to celebrate international players and those who changed the landscape of the league. Yao opened up China to basketball and has been influential in the expansion of the game and is a worthy entrant into the HoF.

Keep in mind, Oscar Schmidt never even played in the NBA and he was inducted 2 years ago.

To this day Swoopes is the most epic last name you can have in basketball.

There is no such thing as the NBA Hall of Fame. It does not exist. It's a myth created by NBA only fans.

It's the BASKETBALL Hall of Fame. It's for the sport of basketball, not for the NBA.

Maybe make him wait his 2nd year. He's clearly not 1st-ballot worthy. Plus, Shaq and AI is already a sold-out/must-see show.

Yao can make the 2017 event must-see, must-attend event cuz that class might be weak.
