Having a loving extended family is pretentious.

    Batum is ethnically Cameroonian (black).
I don't read French, but can at least recognize the word family.
Where are all the brothers and sisters from Africa in Batum's 'family'?!!?
Who are all these pasty frogs?
Rondo didn't sell out here, his Xmas eve is as ratchet as he wants it to be.
    Stay true to yourself Rondo.

The implication that being black means you have to be poor is hilarious.

In French, he didn't actually directly call them his family like he did in English.

He basically said "what a pleasure it is to have all your family for R

You like jumping to conclusions don't you?
Where did I say anything about Batum's wealth?
The meaning I got from the tweet was he was spending time with his family.
I didn't see one black face in the crowd, so that why I am curious why it doesn't seem like any blood relatives of Batum's are spending a "family" Christmas Eve dinner with him.

Where does it say that he is black? Do you have a picture of his mother and father?

P.S just because you are from an African country doesn't make you black a lot of white people come from Africa as well (especially French due to colonial conquest).

Yes, his Father is black, it is obvious looking at Batum he has an immediate black ancestor.

Batum's dad was from the French Antilles but died on the court playing a pick up game. The story resurfaced when Batum was drafted and some GMs asked for extra tests on his heart.
His mum is white so I guess he spent Xmas on his mother side.
