Your acting like Kobe is a scrub coming off the bench lol. He scored more than 24 pts a game in 4 of the finals while playing elite defence. Yeah his shooting percentage was a little low but Kobe is alot like Steph in that teams fear his scoring ability so much that they put alot of focus on him defensively. This makes it harder for him to score but opens up the game for everyone else. Kobe and Steph's finals numbers are below there own standard but there impact on a game go way beyond there stats.

Well Kobe was 22 in his first finals and Steph was just entering his prime at 26 so it's not really a fair comparison but I'll do it anyway. Offensively yeah Steph was overall better than Kobe but again Kobe was younger. If Steph was 22-24 he would of probably scored a little less also. As far as Steph playing under par in relation to his own standard. In his first 5 finals he was alot less efficient than he was in the regular season or most of the playoffs. His drop in efficiency is very similar to Kobes actually. Curry was alot less efficient in all of his finals except 17 where he was only a little worse. In the other 4 he was anywhere from 6-10% worse. That's pretty significant as far as efficiency goes.

So like I said they both underperformed compared to there own standard.yeah Curry was a little more impressive offensively but Kobe was way more impressive defensively so it kinda evens out actually.
