Default Does clutch city winning a chip as 6 seed prove how deep the 90's were?

Just finished watching clutch city documentary. I didn't know that the lowest seed to ever win a chip in the history of the NBA was 4th. Rockets won as a 6th seed which is pretty crazy. To put that in perspective this year the 6th seeds were Brooklyn and okc. Neither had a chance in hell of winning a chip. If the 90's were so weak and so less deep how could a six seed win a chip?

Yeah, the West was pretty deep that year.

    Spurs, Suns, Jazz, Rockets

That team was actually better than the 94

They acquired Clyde at the trade deadline. So it's not that crazy.

No, those Rockets were clearly better than the 6th seed.

You could also look at it as the 90's not having any "true" elite, historical teams.

Clyde lost a lot of his athleticism by the time he signed to his rockets. He didn

Brooklyn would have won this year if Ed Davis didn't go down

The west was deep but that was a function of a defending champ underachieving most of the year for various reasons and getting better going into the postseason.....like another allstar better.

Using the Rockets as an example is idiotic considering Drexler was traded mid season and only played 32 games for them. They were obviously much better going into the playoffs than they were say mid season before that trade adding a top 20-25 player in the league.
