    He's top 5 for now.

But he still not on the level on Lebron, Steph or KD.

If Curry wasn't going nuts he'd be close, but this is Curry's award barring injury already.

He's definitely on the career trajectory to post an MVP-caliber season sooner or later, but he's not at that level yet; as it currently stands, the MVP race = Stephen Curry and everyone else. Great all-around contributions to him so far, but he'll need to improve his shooting efficience

PG the best leader in the game. Almost led he Pacers to dethroning the heat dynasty with Lance Stevenson, Roy Hibbert, and George Hill as his starters

It's hard to not be happy for the guy after such a horrible injury. It's great to see him regain his form and return to being an elite player. I was surprised at how good he looked against the Heat a couple weeks back. That being said, he always seems to get off to an amazing start and then fade a bit as the season progresses. We'll have to see if he can sustain this level of play throughout the year.

How would people rate his defense?

Is he better than 2000-2003 Kobe or 2009-2012 Lebron for example?

    Better than Kobe for sure.
Good to see that he's successful after that horrific injury.

    Curry's the MVP, easily.

But George is well ahead of Bran and a candidate.

George is playing great. Certainly not MVP over Steph, but playing well.

It was the front court size of Hibbert and West (and the infamous "verticality") that gave the Heat so much trouble, not George. They were a nightmare matchup for the undersized Heat. Bosh being hurt in 2012 and Wade being hurt in 2013 also made things more difficult.
